The Zimbabwe-EU Business Information Centre, known as Zim-EBIC, is a state-of-the art information hotspot that provides access to up-dated market and trade information on doing business with the European Union (EU). This facility was funded by the EU and developed with the assistance of the International Trade Centre (ITC).
Zim-EBIC is housed at ZimTrade in Harare, Bulawayo and Mutare. It is a goldmine of trade information and intelligence on EU exporters and importers, latest trade statistics and data, import requirements (product quality, standards, packaging and labelling), Rules of Origin under the interim Economic Partnership Agreement, internal taxes. The facility also provides easy access to cutting-edge ITC Market Analysis Tools which include Market Access Map, Trade Map, Standards Map Trade competitiveness Map and the Procurement Map.
The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) Database on sector and product specific market surveys and researches on the EU markets is also accessible through Zim-EBIC.
Zimbabwean established exporters as well as potential exporters, including SMEs can use the Zim-EBIC facility to connect with potential clients, conduct in-depth market research, understand competition, and access the EU Access2Markets and a suite of EU publications.
