ZimTrade Exhibited at ZITF 2017
ZimTrade successfully participated at the just ended Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2017 from 25 to 29 April 2017 under the theme “Building Linkages for Export Growth”. The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe and Guest of Honour the Namibian President Dr Hage Geingob were taken round the ZimTrade stand by the Chief Executive Officer Ms Sithembile Pilime.
The ZimTrade stand won third place in the Business Support Organisations and Regulatory Bodies Category, a new competition introduced in 2017. Six SMEs were facilitated to participate at the trade fair under the ZimTrade Banner namely, Mawabeni Designs, Hardwoods for Africa, Sweet Maungwe Honey, Family Castings, Kozani Resources and Triple Tee Footwear.
Visitors to the stand commended ZimTrade for always having a world class custom designed stand.
ZimTrade indirect exhibitors won Awards as follows:
- Mawabeni Designs: 1st place in the Best Zimbabwean Exhibitor – Small and Medium Enterprise Category.
- Sweet Maungwe Honey: 2nd place in the Best Zimbabwean Exhibitor – Small and Medium Enterprise Category.
- Kozani Resources: 3rd place in the Best Zimbabwean Exhibitor – Small and Medium Enterprise Category.
- Sweet Maungwe Honey: 3rd place in the Best Zimbabwean display in the Food Group Category.
The exhibitors expressed gratitude to ZimTrade’s support. “We appreciate the platform that ZimTrade has given us to exhibit under their banner for the first time at ZITF and second time with them, the first time being at Zambia’s Agricultural and Commercial Show which we attended last year. It culminated in us opening a branch in Zambia which is operating successfully,” said Tee Footwear’s Sales and Marketing Executive Mr Godknows Simbanegavi.
