The ZimTrade chief executive officer Ms. Sithembile Pilime has been appointed to the newly established International Trade Centre (ITC) Trade and Investment Support Institutions Advisory Board which will see local companies benefitting from initiatives by the organisation on the international market.
Her appointment shows the confidence that the organisation has in the local economy. In an interview in the capital, Mrs Pilime says this offers an opportunity for local companies to be represented on the international stage so they can derive maximum benefits from the organisation’s initiatives across the world.
The new organisation is a voluntary, independent advisory body established to provide strategic guidance and advice to the International Trade Centre on all matters pertaining to the strengthening of trade and investment support institutions.
It is mandated with continuously improving the quality, relevance and effectiveness of the trade and investment support institutions.
